As a secular Buddhist and zen practitioner, I see the value of maintaining composure in the face of pressure at work. Here are some pointers to keep you focused and in the present moment in various stressful situations.

Handle overwhelming anxiety: Take deep breaths and engage in mindfulness exercises to be in the present moment to combat anxiety. Keep in mind that anxiousness is merely a fleeting feeling that will pass.
Remain composed in a confrontational situation at work: Develop empathy and make an effort to comprehend the viewpoint of others. Keep your composure and answer intelligently as opposed to impulsively.
Maintain composure under pressure at work: Set priorities for your work and concentrate on the most crucial items. When necessary, take breaks and engage in relaxation exercises like meditation and deep breathing.
Remain composed under emotional stress: Pay attention to your breathing, remind yourself of your strengths, and picture a successful outcome.
Control your temper at work: Before responding, take a step back and evaluate the issue. Don't be aggressive in your communication and concentrate on finding a solution rather than laying blame.
